Trip to Arkhyz

This was my first commercial hiking trip with a tent.

Our journey started on 1 September. We drove to Arkhyz from Mineralnye Vody Airport for 3 hours. There were 11 people in our group.

The next day we drove to the Sofia Mountains early in the morning. At the beginning of the journey I was amazed: I had never seen such beautiful nature in my life. We hiked to the Sofia Lakes with big backpacks for about 5 hours. On the way we saw many beautiful waterfalls.

After the long hike we saw the turquoise Sofia Lakes and many snowy mountains. I had never felt such admiration. We set up camp near the lakes. This was my first night in the camping tent.

On 3 September, I witnessed a magnificent sunrise.

After this, we went on a day hike to another beautiful place. The way to this place looked like another planet. It was a great sunny day. Then, we chilled at the camp, talked and enjoyed nature. At night, we observed the stars. We even saw the Milky Way!

On 4 September we left the camp. The weather was still great. In the evening we burned all this trash we had collected during our days at the camp. There was heavy rain and a thunderstorm at night.

5 September - this was the last day in the Sofia Mountains. We went on one last day hike. These places look like Milka advertising and Windows XP wallpaper. On the way back we ran down from these Milka-WindowsXP fields...
